PUMA Fast Cure Technology | Bridge Deck Waterproofing Membrane
Our Matacryl WPM system is a proven liquid PUMA technology used extensively in Australia and worldwide. It is bridge deck membrane that is highly flexible, can be applied easily in a range of climatic conditions to many types of substrates. Matacryl WPM has a significant number of global test certifications including BBA, AREMA and ASTM.
Sub-Categories
Hychem supplies the Matacryl range of bridge deck membranes approved for use on bridges around the world.
Matacryl WPM- Key Benefit Summary
- Highly flexible with excellent crack-bridging characteristics even at extremely low temperatures (-20 °C and below)
- Easy to apply using a roller, squeegee or tooth rake
- Thixotropic version available for vertical surfaces
- Excellent Corrosion inhibition properties
- Very high impact and puncture resistance
- Withstands stress and movements in substrate
- Excellent adhesion to many types of substrate
- Good chemical and abrasion resistance
- Can be applied over a wide range of ambient and substrate temperatures from minus 20°C to + 35°C
- Can easily be repaired; excellent inter-layer adhesion due to chemical fusion bonding
- Overcoating time not critical
- Fully set & dry one hour after application
Waterproofing membrane and trafficable coating solutions from our specialist systems below:
- Matacryl Primer H – MATACRYL® PRIMER H is a low viscosity, violet-blue, 2 component reactive resin based on methyl methacrylate (MMA). After polymerisation, most of the violet-blue colour will disappear.
- Matacryl Manual – MATACRYL® Manual is a medium viscosity, urethane-modified, pre-reacted 100 % solid membrane system based on acrylic monomers. To initiate curing, just add MATACRYL® CATALYST.
- Matacryl STC – MATACRYL® STC is a medium viscosity, elastified and UV- protected, one component resin based on methyl methacrylate (MMA).The curing is initiated by addition of MATACRYL Catalyst powder.
- Matacryl Tack Coat No 1 – Matacryl Tack Coat No1 is a modified bonding bitumen, supplied in easy to handle 10kg blocks which require less heat to achieve the optimum laying temperature. Matacryl Tack Coat No1 provides excellent adhesion performance and greater efficiency.
